Christmas Cake* – Marzipan Layer

It has come to that time of year again when the Christmas Cake, cooked and fed with alcohol, needs marzipan and icing before decorating for the festivities. TOP TIP for the fruit cake: Feed it with brandy every two weeks prior to decorating it by pricking with a small fork and pouring a few tablespoons over the top and letting it soak, flipping the cake and repeating next time.
